I started out by brushing fawn all over my lid as a base and blended camel into my crease, I then used the deep teal shade to map out where I wanted my wing to be. I used a small synthetic brush and in small sections I dabbed on lash glue, and using a wet small brush I picked up the green glitter and placed it on the glue, I did this until the wing was covered in the green glitter. (You could use a black liner to map out the wing, but I found that using a similar shade to the glitter you’re using just means that if you do see any of the shadow/liner, it will blend in)

I took a little bit of the teal, and the dark brown shade and blended that on my lower lash line and prepped my lashes for falsies. For this look I used my biggest and most dramatic lashes, but to make this look a little more wearable you could use a wispy lash.

I buffed in my foundation, and filled in my brows as usual and contoured my cheeks, I then used a muted rose blush shade, and a rose gold highlight to finish off my skin. I kept my skin very neutral as I wanted most of the attention on my eyes. I finished off my look with a a bright red glossy lip using Limecrimes retrofuturist all over and dabbing the LA girl glazed lip paint in the center.

Behind Blue Eyes

Hey everyone, today I’m back with a really pretty summer look on my beautiful friend Amber.

Amber 2

Products used

NYX eyeshadow primer

NYX Dream catcher palette

ChiChi Cosmetics bronzes palette

Elf cool palette

Individual flare lashes

Elf dark brown brow kit

Maybelline The falsies big eyes mascara

Generic concealer palette

MAC Match master foundation

Mac Mineralize skin finish powder

W7 Bronzer

LA girl glazed lip paints in blushing

I started out by cleansing Ambers skin with a makeup wipe and then patting the eyeshadow primer all over her eyelid and lower lash line, I then used the matte beige shade from the NYX dream catcher palette all over the lid, followed by the copper shade from the ChiChi bronzes palette over the middle of the eyelid and blending it in circular motions outwards and upwards. I then took the light gold shade and blended that into the copper shade on the outer and inner corners of Ambers eyes. I then tapped a dome brush in the matte brown shade from the ChiChi palette and blended that in a circular motion to blend the lighter metallic toned shadows together.

I then took the navy blue shade from the Elf palette and placed that on Ambers lower lash line a little over half way, and then blended it down. As I didn’t want to risk the colour closing up Ambers eye by taking it all the way to the inner corner. I then placed a few individual false lashes to the outer third of her lash line to thicken her natural lashes and to elongate her eye.

I then used the green toned concealer from my palette and dabbed that on any redness. I then blended the foundation where needed and powdered as usual, I then used some bronzer to warm up the face, filled in her brows and applied mascara.

I finished off the look with the LA girl lip colour in blushing.

NYX Dreamcatcher palette review

Hey everyone, today I’m back with a review on the NYX Dreamcatcher palette.

photo 2 (1) photo 1 (1)

I bought this palette off Ikatehouse for $14.99.

There are 3 palettes in this collection, but I chose the Golden Horizons one because I wanted to be able to use it every day for work, this one is more neutral. The others have a few colours in them so I knew I wouldn’t use it as much.

photo 3

As you can see, a few of the colours are a little chalky but I find that they all blend really nicely on my eyes. I have used this palette with and without a primer and find that it works really well both ways. Unfortunately this does tend to crease on me after a few hours, but most shadows do tend to crease on me since I have pretty oily eyelids so don’t let that deter you from this palette.

I have found that I get the most use out of this palette and you can make so many different pretty looks without a lot of effort, from a simple day look to a smoky eye.

Unfortunately it looks like this palette isn’t available on the IKatehouse website any more, but you can purchase it off the NYX website for $15.00

Do you own this palette, what do you think? Let me know in the comments

Modern Pin up look

Hey everyone, today I’m back with a modern pin up inspired look.

Today I found a spare hour to sit down and put together this look, I knew I wanted to do something clean and fun and I think this modern pin up inspired look is really pretty.

Products used

Nyx Eyeshadow primer

Chi Chi bronzes palette

Maybeline Gel liner

Napoleon Glitter liner

120 Ardell lashes

L’oreal True Match Foundation

Generic Concealer palette

Elf high definition powder

Rimmel Stay Matte powder

W7 Bronzer

Generic red blush

Mac Mineralize skin finish in Lightscapade

Nyx brow pencil in brown

Maybelline color tattoo in Taugh as taupe

Essence red lip liner

Nyx round lipstick in true red

I started out by patting the nyx eyeshshadow primer on my lid as always, followed by a beige eyeshadow from my Models prefer palette. Using a dense flat eyeshadow brush I packed the product all over my eyelid, followed by the lightest champagne shade from my Chi Chi bronzes palette on my brow bone. Once I’d blended that together so it was seamless I placed a very light brown shade through my crease. You want this to look like your eyelid, but better. The main focus is the liner and lips.

I then used the gel black liner to make a cat eye liner followed then by the silver Napoleon glitter liner, following the black liner. I then put on my lashes and perfected my skin.

Using my L’oreal true match as usual I buffed that into my skin, and then contoured and highlighted using the dark brown and pale yellow shade in my generic concealer palette, using a damp beauty blender to blend that all together. I then filled in my brows as usual while my foundation sunk in.

I set my under eye concealer using the elf HD powder and the rest of my face with Rimmel stay matte powder. I then bronzed my face and added a light flush to my cheeks with a small amount of red/pink blush.

I finished off this pin up inspired look with of course cherry red lips, using the lip liner first to make sure the lipstick doesn’t feather.

A black cat eye and red lip is such a timeless look, and I think the added glitter makes it modern and fun.

Nyx Extra Creamy Round Lipsticks Review

Hey everyone, today I’m back with a review on some NYX lippies.

image (100)

I have six of these lipsticks in the colours;

Rose Bouquet

Hot Pink

Pure Red

(all swatches have been applied direct from the bullet)

Rose Bouquet

image (93)

Rose Bouquet is a very light pink shade, that is very frosted and unfortunately very drying. This lipstick has very large chunks of glitter in it which means that it’s not very wearable. But saying that I’m going to keep it in case I need it for a costume party.

Hot Pink

image (99)

Hot Pink is a beautiful soft shade that is so nice for day and night, it’s very creamy and can be toned down into a light pink. I’ve even worn it to job interviews.

image (95)

Fusion is a very pretty deep magenta shade, it is frosted but not to the extent that it’s not wearable.

image (97)

Although it doesn’t look like it here, Shiva looks nearly exactly like fusion but more creamy and without the frost. It’s more of a satin finish that is very creamy and easy to apply.

image (98)

Now if you follow me on any social media then you know how much I love this lipstick, it’s just the perfect red/orange shade that is so creamy and easy to wear. This lipstick is always my go to if I need a little pick me up.

Pure Red

image (96)

Pure Red is a really nice blue based red, but not a lot of blue if that makes sense. Unfortunately this lipstick is a little bit drying, but not as much as some of the frosted lipsticks. I still find that it’s a very wearable lipstick.

I do love majority of these lipsticks and really want to get some more, maybe some more browny-nude shades and less pink since I seem to always gravitate towards pinks and purples.

What NYX lipsticks have you tried? i’d love some colour suggestions

Rose Gold Look

Hey everyone, today I’m back with a rose gold look.

I got my inspiration for this look from Jaclyn Hill.. if you haven’t heard of her, she is a youtube beauty guru and her videos give me life! https://www.youtube.com/user/Jaclynhill1

This particular look is one newer videos.

NYX eyeshadow base

Generic blush palette

-Maroon/Deep red shades

Elf Cool palette

-Cool brown

Models prefer palette

-Warm brown

Maybelline Gel liner

Maybelline Color Tattoo – Tough as Taupe

Generic fine glitter

Ardell 120 Lashes

Loreal True Match foundation

Rimmel Stay Matte

W7 Bronzer

Orange/Peach blush

Mac Lightscapade

Foxy Lady lipstick

I started off this look with my NYX eyeshadow base, I then took the orange shade from my blush palette and carefully pat it into the outer third and inner corner of my eye and blended, I then did the same thing but alternating colours until I had a pretty maroon/orange deep shade, but leaving the centre of my eye bare.

I then took the cool brown from my elf palette  and lightly blended that through my crease to give my eye socket some depth, then taking a little bit of the warm brown, I started to blend that into my outer corner.

Then take a large fluffy brush with some of the peachy orange shade and blend that all over your lid until you are happy with the colour – you don’t want to look like your sick and your eyes are red (thats where I started to get  worried) but trust me, alternate between the maroon and cool brown until the colours are seamless and look more like a rose gold.

now take a white fine shimmery pigment and lightly pat that into the middle of your eye, and really concentrating the colour there until you are happy with the way it looks. I then took my black gel liner and did a very very thin line on my top lash line – just so it makes your natural & false lashes look a lot thicker

I finished off my look the way I usually would, with my Loreal true match foundation set with Rimmel stay matte powder to set the foundation, Maybelline color tattoo in tough as taupe through my brows a light contour and a peachy blush shade along the back of my cheek to pull all the orange shades together.

I finished off my look with a lipstick cocktail to get a nude that I liked – but use whatever lip shade you like.

I love this look, I don’t think its too much for daytime wear, you could always wear smaller lashes or none at all.

What do you think, would you wear this look?

Rimmel Eyeliner (black)

Revlon Colorstay Whipped foundation (Natural Beige)

LA Girl concealer (Creamy Beige)

Elf setting spray

I started out by placing the scotch tape following my lower lash line, I then primed my eyelid. I carved out my crease with the matte brown shadow from my elf palette and blended upwards as my transition colour. I then pat the matte grey shade from the same palette all over my lid, then mixing black shades from both the elf and Chi Chi palette I started smoking out the colours until it was as dark as I wanted it. I went back with the brown from my elf palette and blended out the black and grey.

I finished off my eye look with the lightest champagne colour from the Chi Chi palette under my brow and to blend out the brown and black so the eye shadow is seamless, Lined my waterline with the black eyeliner pencil and blended the black eye shadow from the Chi Chi Palette on my waterline. I then added a cat eyeliner &  Ardell 120 lashes.

To complete the whole look I opted for a more full coverage foundation and buffed that into my skin I then used the concealer under my eyes and filled in my eyebrows. After I let the cream products sink into my skin I powdered my face and added a deep contour, blush and my lipstick combo.

I finished with Elfs makeup setting spray.
