Essence Cosmetics Soo glow Review

Hey everyone, today I’m back with a review on the essence soo glow cream to powder highlighter.

I picked this highlighter up while I was at Target getting some essence lip liners, which I absolutely love love love!! (a story for another day) when I saw this guy calling out to me. Now usually I’m not that into cream highlighters, but as we are moving into winter and my skin is looking a little dry and dreary I thought Id give it a try.

This product is very creamy when you first apply it, and sheers out to a beautiful champagne shade and then dries down like a powder which is something that I have never used before. And I really like it! I find that its so easy to use either under or over foundation and looks so naturally pretty.

The product looks quite shimmery, but using a small amount and working it into your skin makes a really big difference.

I picked this up for around $4-$6 AUD I can’t remember exactly, but I know it wasn’t expensive at all.

I’m really liking this product, and for the price I can’t really fault it.

W7 Prime Magic Primer Review

Hey everyone, today I’m back with a review on the W7 Prime Magic Primer.

Photo 6-02-2015 5 18 50 pm

Let me start out by saying that I love this primer, it’s silicone based and is a clear gel like formula it smooths my skin making foundation glide on and stay on.

I like to pat this product into my skin using my fingertips and will generally place it on my problem areas where I know that I have extra large pores. This primer makes my make up stay on all day long and minimises any creasing creasing. I tested this primer out while wearing my Estée Lauder double wear foundation which is long wearing and very full coverage. My foundation looked flawless and creased far less than it usually would ( I have very oily skin, so creasing is inevitable unfortunately) it just blew me away!

And if you’ve been reading my Blog for a while you will know that I love a bargain, especially when it comes to make-up since it’s so expensive in Australia. So, you could imagine my excitement when I picked this little guy up for $4.99 AUD from my local chemist! (drug store) for all my US readers.

Have you tried this primer, do you like it as much as I do? let me know in the comments.

Styling A Tube Skirt

Hey everyone, today I’m back with how I style a tube skirt for Summer.

Today i’ve styled two outfits that I think could take you from lunch with friends, to dinner and drinks easily. I’ve stayed within a very clean monochromatic palette which I think is perfect, as a tube skirt can be worn time and time again and can quickly become a staple piece.

Here I’ve paired both skirts with a cami style top which I think pairs perfectly, but could of course be paired however you want. A simple black crop top or a turtle neck tucked in would look lovely for the colder months.

I am absolutely loving these looks for any occasion, they’re effortlessly chic and feminine and the best part is that you could achieve this look without breaking the bank, Here are some on asos.com.au that are lovely and affordable.

Would you wear these outfits? let me know in the comments.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette Review

Hi everyone, happy new year and welcome to my first post for 2015! Today I’m back with a review on the Too Faced Chocolate bar palette

closed palette

Let me start by saying that this palette is so nice, I have found all the shadows to be so creamy and well pigmented and think that there is such a great assortment of shadows in the one palette.

open palette

Here I have swatched from L to R

Salted Caramel

A cool toned matte brown

White Chocolate

A matte cream shadow

Marzipan

a beautiful shimmery champagne shade

Cherry Cordial

A deep redy purple shade with flecks of glitter in it

swatches

All of these shadows have been swatched as is, without any primer and as you can see they are all pretty well pigmented. I think this palette is perfect whether you’re just starting out with makeup and want to branch out, or if you are a professional adding to your kit this palette will not disappoint (It even smells like chocolate how could you resist!)

I love this palette and have been testing it under all sorts of conditions and love it! just recently I took this palette away with me on holidays and I didn’t find myself needing anything else on my lids as I found this held all the colours I needed.

I purchased my palette off Myqty.com.au for $64.99 AUD and you are able to get it here. Trust me, you’ll love it!

Do you own this palette, what do you think of it? let me know in the comments
