My Top 3 foundations

Hey everyone, today we are going to talk about foundation. Since discovering the wonderful world of make up I have tried and tested my fair share of foundations, I’ve gone from mixing two shades & getting the wrong colour to then finding one shade that I thought was right but failing to blend the product onto my neck resulting in the most beautiful line on my jaw. Do any of these scenarios sound familiar?

I’ve since found my top 3 foundations that can be found at the supermarket or chemist and they are.

Loreal True Match in N4 Beige – $29.95

Face of Australia Mineral therapy in Honey Beige- $15.95

Revlon Colorstay Whipped Natural Beige – $34.95

I have Oily/Combination skin for reference

I love Loreal true match for everyday use, it sinks into skin meaning that you’re left with gorgeous skin that looks more radiant and flawless. it is a medium to full coverage foundation that is buildable, meaning that you don’t have to worry about your layers of foundation looking cakey or unnatural. Once set with powder this foundation tends to stay without a lot of maintenance.

I really enjoy using the Face of Australia foundation for days when I only want a light coverage foundation, since this foundation has vitamin C and E in it I like to use it on days when my skin has been breaking out or am only going out for a little while. I find that I do tend to look a little oily with this foundation around the middle of the day but a little touch up with powder fixes that.

I only ever use my Revlon Colorstay foundation if I’m going out at night or know that I will be out for ages as this is a very full coverage foundation, it is mousse like in texture and melts into your skin. for me personally I find that I don’t have to use any concealer to cover up blemishes as this foundation covers them up & once set with a setting power it isn’t going anywhere. and I find that I don’t have to do any touch ups.

I blend all my foundations with a Real Techniques Stippling brush.

What foundations have you tried and loved? let me know in the comments
